OW!
Man, you try to help somebody out, and this is what happens. That's what I get for trying to be nice.
Living near work is nice, but it doesn't prevent you from sleeping through your alarm. I jump in and out of the shower, throw on some clothes, and I'm out the door. Just outside our building there was this homeless guy staggering toward me with his hand out. He looked pretty bad off, and I was already late, so I figured what the hell? I stop, and while I'm rummaging in my pocket for change, he grabbed my arm and he BIT me! Can you believe it?
I shoved him away and ran into the building. There was nobody at the security desk (where is everybody?) so I confined myself to flipping him off through the window and went up to my office. He got me pretty good, broke the skin. You'd almost think he was trying to take a chunk out of me!
The building is pretty much deserted today. I can see people roaming around in the street out the window, maybe there's a protest going on? Life in Seattle! Maybe that's why I got an "all lines are busy" when I tried to call the cops on the homeless guy. Jim, the guy in the office next to mine, doesn't have a clue either.
Oog, that onion bagel I grabbed on the way out the door is starting to disagree with me a little.
